The monks of the Maria Toevlucht Abbey in Zundert brew beer. The monks in Zundert are Trappists, so the beer is a Trappist beer.
It is a beer according to a completely unique recipe. Recognizable as a Trappist beer, it still has a very unique character. The fellow brothers in the abbeys who previously brewed beer are there to support them in a brotherly manner with advice and assistance. They do follow their own course, because no one was waiting for a copy of what already existed!
That is why the monks in Zundert have developed a recipe for a recalcitrant Trappist beer that is rooted in its own region.
The beer is brewed from natural ingredients: a copper-blond beer with 8% alcohol.
A special glass is of course available for the Zundert Trappist beer, in which the taste comes into its own optimally.
